Who We Are
Mission & Readiness
Ironwake is being built to support future maritime search-and-rescue and emergency-response capabilities. We are preparing the people, equipment, technology, training, and partnerships needed to stand ready when the call comes.
Our Mission
Built to support those who answer the call.
Ironwake Search & Rescue Foundation is being developed to support future maritime search-and-rescue and emergency-response capabilities. Our mission is to help provide the equipment, technology, training, resources, and partnerships that trained responders need to operate safely and effectively on the water.
We do not conduct search-and-rescue missions today. We are building the foundation to support those missions tomorrow.
Why Ironwake
The need for capable maritime responders.
Maritime emergencies demand specialized skills, equipment, and coordination. The water is unforgiving: conditions change quickly, help can be far away, and the margin for error is thin.
Capable, well-equipped maritime responders make the difference between a tragedy and a rescue. Technology multiplies that capability: vessels that can operate in rough seas, aerial systems that expand the search horizon, thermal imaging that sees through darkness and fog, communications that keep teams connected, and navigation systems that keep them safe.
Ironwake exists to help bring those tools and resources together so that future responders are better equipped to protect life on the water.
Building Readiness
Readiness before response.
Organizational Development
Building governance, policies, procedures, and safety frameworks that a mature SAR organization requires.
Operational Capability
Defining operational roles, command structures, and deployment procedures before any response activity.
Equipment & Technology
Identifying, acquiring, and maintaining the vessels, sensors, communications, and rescue gear future crews will need.
Training & Standards
Establishing training pathways, safety protocols, and readiness standards for future team members.
Partnership Development
Cultivating relationships with agencies, companies, donors, and maritime organizations that strengthen our future capability.
Safety & Accountability
Committing to safe, accountable, and well-supervised operations from day one.
Leadership & Service Background
A personal foundation of service.
Ironwake's founder is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, a current member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and is completing Coxswain training. That background shapes our respect for the water, for safety, and for the people who serve.
Personal service, not organizational affiliation.
The founder's Coast Guard veteran status and Auxiliary membership are personal service backgrounds. They do not mean that Ironwake is part of, affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or under the direction of the U.S. Coast Guard or the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Ironwake Search & Rescue Foundation is a DBA of I Am Stage 4 Foundation and operates independently of those agencies while in its development phase.
